Wanda Franz, Ph.D. is the President of the National Right to
Life Committee.  Dr. Franz is a developmental psychologist and
professor emerita of child development at West Virginia
University in Morgantown, West Virginia.  She has been involved
in the right to life movement since 1971 and has served as NRLC
president since 1991.

Dr. Franz is also the president of the
Association for
Interdisciplinary Research in Values and Social Change.  

As NRLC president, Dr. Franz has been profiled and quoted in a
wide range of publications including USA Today, U.S. News &
World Report, The Washington Post, and The New York Times.

Olivia Gans
AVA Director

Olivia Gans is the Director of American Vicitims of Abortion
(AVA), an outreach of the National Right to Life Committee.

In 1981, while a college student, Ms. Gans underwent a suction
aspiration abortion 12 weeks into her pregnancy.  After
suffering an acute emotional reaction to her abortion for almost
two years, Ms. Gans helped organize one of the nation’s first
peer-to-peer post-abortion support groups in the New York
City area.  Ms. Gans became AVA director in 1985, and since
that time has spoken on post-abortion syndrome and other
abortion-related issues throughout the United States and around
the world.

Ms. Gans has regularly appeared on such national news
programs as Nightline, Good Morning America and NBC’s Today
Show.
