2007 started with a battle over embryo-destructive stem cell research.  Today, Dr. Franz looks at the
battle in Congress and two major advancements in alternative, ethical sources of stem cells.

saving lives.

6026 – Texas Court Upholds State Unborn Victims of Violence Act
In late November, a Texas appeals court upheld a state law recognizing unborn children as victims of
crime.  Dr. Franz discusses the impact of that case and the advancement of similar laws across the

Dr. Franz discusses Doe v. Bolton, Roe's companion case, as part of our Abortion and The Court series.  
In concert with Roe, Doe v. Bolton opened the door to unfettered abortion on demand in the United
States.

A staggering number of Americans of voting age aren’t even registered to vote!  Today, Dr. Franz
discusses the importance to being registered to vote and taking place in the political process.

6031 – Remembering Dr. King
On the observation of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday, Dr. Franz examines Dr. King's famous "I Have a
Dream" speech and its citation of our Declaration of Independence.  On the eve on Roe's 35th
anniversary, she also explores the Declaration's impact on the pro-life movement.

On the 35th anniversary of the Supreme Court's infamous Roe v. Wade decision, Dr. Franz looks at the
advances of the pro-life movement and remembers the victims of Roe's destructive and gruesome legacy.

6033 – RU486: In the News Again
Dr. Franz shares the story of Darshana Patel, a Wisconsin woman whose boyfriend was allegedly causing
her to miscarry by lacing her food with the abortion drug RU-486.  Her boyfriend is being charged with
the murder of Dr. Patel's unborn child under Wisconsin's Fetal Homicide Law.

Dr. Franz discusses a breakthrough, first reported last November, which gives scientists another ethical
alternative for stem cells.

6035 – Television’s Most Persistent Taboo
The mainstream media is almost apoplectic with Hollywood's treatment of the abortion issue in recent hit
movies.  Dr. Franz dives into the archives to a 2004 New York Times article that shows a similar trend in
television shows.
